March 10th

A brief visit to Grove Ferry today ( 1-2 pm ) and as i approached the ramp a man was sitting on one of the benches taking a selfie, as i got nearer i saw a large bird of prey sitting on the fence rail behind him but as i got nearer it took off and headed towards the willow tree's by the river. He thought it was a Marsh Harrier with a bell attached to it's leg, i confirmed to him it was an escaped Harris Hawk . At the ramp were 2 Black tailed godwit, 60+ Lapwing. 3 Shelduck and a few Teal. On the way to Feast hide i counted 9 Reed bunting, 1 Skylark and 1 Marsh harrier. At the hide were 24 Gadwall, 6 Tufty's, 40 + Teal, 1 Grey heron and 1 Little grebe
