I did the circuit again this morning 7am-9.15 am starting from the Stodmarsh end and there was 1 Green Sandpiper and 1 Wood Sandpiper at reedbed hide. The Common Terns seem to be doing ok on the rafts, i have not seen any Carrion Crows pestering them this week which maybe due to there being more breeding pairs this year ,safety in numbers. Not a lot happening on the river path and only 5 visible juvenile Lapwing on the island at Dave Feast hide and 1 Green Sandpiper. There were 25 juvenile and 7 adult Grey lag's at marsh hide with just 3 juvenile Lapwing. 1 Marsh Harrier seen but no other raptors. The " terrapin " that someone saw a few weeks ago was in the ditch this morning and i am 90 percent certain it is a River or Pond Cooter, a Turtle native to the southern states of North America.
